Manufacturer Services are a dynamic, creative, innovative team who are leading the market in terms of its relationships with our pharmaceutical manufacturer partners.
Through these relationships, we have developed a number of services in addition to logistics to meet the changing needs of our manufacturer partners. With a strong team ethic and commitment to self development, we strive to pioneer long term relationships with sustainable income streams.
We have created a unique team that is continuously learning and developing in an exciting and fast paced environment.
Our Manufacturer Services team
Our 16-strong team is broadly divided into 4 functions:
Commercial Supply Chain
Our Commercial Supply Chain Team works in consultation with Manufacturers to determine the best route to market for their products. This can range from large scale pallet distribution through to complex solutions straight to the patient in their home
Implementation
When the Commercial Supply Chain Team have agreed a route to market for a Manufacturer's products, the Implementation Team make this happen by project managing any internal changes necessary for a seamless transition
Key Account Management
The market leading Key Account Management Team manages the contracts in place with Manufacturers who have consolidated the number of wholesalers they use to distribute their products. This close working relationship allows the Key Account Managers to drive operational efficiencies and strategic alignment.
Skills in Healthcare and Services
With an established route to market in place our Skills in Healthcare and Services teams identify how else they can support our Manufacturers. This range of offerings includes outsourced contract sales and telesales through to comparator sourcing for clinical trials. These solutions drive brand growth and mutual added value.

I joined Alliance Healthcare (then UniChem) from the NHS in 2005 having worked for six years in sales and recruitment roles. After two years with the business as Recruitment Manager, I was supported to transition into more generalist HR and spent just under 1 year as the Head Office HR Manager.
I recognised an opportunity to help drive the new business model of manufacturer partnerships and was supported again when I made a career change into key account management. This is my fourth year managing the commercial relationships with our manufacturer partners and I now have a fantastic team of Key Account Managers to help me.
I believe that supporting personal development is essential for employee retention and this is true of my career to date with Alliance Healthcare. No day is ever the same and the constantly evolving and challenging environment also keeps me motivated.

I started at Alliance Healthcare as a Business Analyst in the IT department back in December 2007 after newly arriving in the U.K. from New Zealand.
Through my role as a Business Analyst I was exposed to many functions and teams whilst working on projects to enhance and further develop our data reporting and KPI capabilities and this gave me a good grounding into how the business operates.
In early 2010 I joined the Manufacturer Services team to be the Implementation Manager for the supply chain agreements we have in place with our upstream customers. I really enjoy working in the Manufacturer Services team and interacting with manufacturers and internal stakeholders to see the successful rollout of a new distribution agreement. It is a challenging, rewarding and fast paced environment, allowing me to further develop my knowledge of our business, the pharmaceutical market and the ever evolving requirements of our upstream customers.
Recently I have been appointed as an Account Manager within the team and will move from implementing the agreements to managing the relationship and contract, striving to ensure that Alliance Healthcare is always a chosen partner for manufacturers. Manufacturer Services is a fantastic supportive team to be part of with vast amounts of experience to share.
