Field Sales
The Alliance Healthcare Sales team support 14,000 Pharmacies, Hospitals and Dispensing Doctors, we are the market leader within our sector providing c.£3bn of medicines and Health & Beauty products across the UK each year.
Our sales team are responsible for the achievement our budget (revenue, profit and volume) across our customer base. We do this by striving to satisfy every pharmacy purchasing decision with the best category offers in the market. Our goal is to be recognised as delivering consistently first class service to all our external customers and provide excellent support for each other across our functional teams.
Our people are our strength and greatest asset; we are consistently improving the customer experience and as a result we and becoming the partner of choice to an increasing number of customers within our sector.
Telesales
Based at our Head Office our telesales teams execute a variety of sales activities in telesales and telemarketing across Health & Beauty categories; Ethical, Generics & Surgical products.
Our telesales function is a fast paced, dynamic and exciting environment with a diverse product and service portfolio. Our people work collaboratively with leading UK suppliers / Independent Pharmacies and Buying Groups within the retail pharmacy sector. We represent both established and new UK brands, Almus Generics and product scheme compliancy within a designated territory through high frequency customer contact and strong relationship building.
Contract Sales
Skills in Healthcare is a Division of Alliance Healthcare providing contract sales and marketing solutions to health & beauty manufacturers and service organisations.
Working on campaigns of 2 - 6 months' duration, our nationwide team of Pharmacy Development Managers develop winning relationships with Pharmacy customers to sell and detail brands directly on behalf of suppliers.
This is a rapidly growing area of our business and one where we anticipate opportunities for both short-term and permanent Contract Sales professionals.

I joined the company 11 years ago as Pharmacy Development Manager calling on our Independent Pharmacy customers in North and East London. I very quickly began to enjoy the people culture of the company, and was promoted to a Senior Pharmacy Development Manager role after a year, when I started to get involved with the training of our new recruits.
I also had several senior managers and directors come out with me for field accompaniments to see what life was really like at the sharp end!
I was then promoted again to Regional Sales Manager and now look after a team of 7 highly dedicated Area Account Managers assisting our customers adapt to the rapid change in the pharmacy market. One thing's for sure, it's never dull! We work really well as a team, and have the support from the company to back up our efforts.
